Does anyone out there know the paint formula (not the YY 81500 code) for butternut yellow? I've tried finding it on the web, no luck. Any help is appreciated.

Are you trying to match it? I had to repaint the side of a Butternut car and i wanted to do it bc/cc so i could blend it. I had my Dupont rep take a picture with the Dupont Chromavision camera and it came up with a perfect match. I could have panel painted it.I forget what the color was called. It was out of the fleet color catalog.(Having a brain freeze,Dupont guys know what that catalog is called?) I would get your paint store to shoot it with the camera if you have a good color sample. Thats assuming you dont use the formula for the acrylic enamel that Bill supplied.
In some instances where an old enamel formula is all thats available i have shot the enamel on a test panel, then had them take a picture with the camera and come up with a match in base coat clearcoat formula. I did this on a 72 chevelle that was a Pea Green metallic(forget the name) and it came back with 2000 VW color that was a DEAD match. But also sometimes the camera will come up with a color not even close.

thanks to everyone, I think this is what I'm looking for!! Yes, I am trying to blend it in. There was a rust spot the size of a dime I sanded down today and put primer over it (and some bondo). Hopefully this will work out!! Thanks again.+
