I've been collecting parts to convert my '68 drums to '69 style front disks. I have most everything now except for the banjo bolts to connect the hoses to the calipers. Anyone know a source for these? Seems like they should be easy to find but no one seems to list them.

I broke a bonjo bolt installing a set of baer brakes on my 68 and ended up ordering some through a local speed shop. My baer instructions indicated torqueing 15-20 ft-lbs but mine broke at 18 ft-lbs, so I torqued my replacements at 15 ft-lbs. I had a hard time finding banjo bolts locally that were the correct size. Napa and Autozone carried some banjo bolts but not the metric threads that I needed for the Baer callipers. You could try local automotive stores first they may have some that fit but you need to now the size and thread pitch or trial and error on the caliper will be the only way to determine which one to get. Like I said I ordered mine locally they were Earl's Performance Plumbing brand which is owned by Holley. You can probably order them through Jeg's or Summits. Here is the link for Earl's that has the banjo bolts: www.holley.com/types.asp?type=515
Someone else here may know what size you need. Good luck and make sure you order extra's because they are very easy to over torque and brake them off.
