I am having a problem with a steering conversion I am attempting. I have a 68 camaro and I am replacing my power steering to manual steering box. I purchased a Borgeson 525 box, new pitman arm and new rag joint. I hooked up the new box to trial fit everything and when I turn the wheels to maximum radius on both sides the inside of the wheels are hitting my frame. I called Borgeson and they said they have no clue and have never had this problem before. Am I doing something wrong? Is there stops in the box that need to be adjusted. The new 525 box didn't come with any directions and Borgeson said they don't include any. Please help I have a car show this weekend and really want to have my car back together.

I'm not sure if the Pitman arm is too long. It is the pitman arm that Borgeson suggested when I ordered the box it came from Mullins. I have no clue, Borgeson has been helpful but they said they weren't really sure.

i think you should have stops on your lower control arm that hit the steering knuckle and should stop before the tires hit, the box's internal stops should not be coming into play, the stops on the control arms should hit first
