So far only the underside of the hood, jambs, etc have been painted but if everything goes to plan, it will be in final paint/reassembly by Friday. These pics don't do much justice for the color since they were taken inside the shop but it looks NICE in the sunlight. I can't possibly describe the excitement I feel knowing my dream car is almost ready to come home! I will post more pics as the paint progresses.

Beautiful color!

Similar to the color that I was going to paint my '68 back in '82... and then my current '68 in '02 or so... ended up going with black though :)

What color is that? I am getting ready to paint mine soon and it will be blue.

Intense blue pearl is the color, its actually a 98 thru current dodge color. I really wanted to use a Chevy color but sadly, I couldn't find a single shade of blue that I liked better than this one. Plus I am adding Z28 stripes (black) to lay on top of it and I think the black will really show well with this color. I bought the stencil kit as to get the factory dimensions and correctness. I will be sure to post more pics after the final paint which will be this weekend. I can't explain the excitement!

Hum... have you seen Black stripes on that Blue anywhere?

I don't think that will be a good combination... white or silver would be great.

Well I have all black interior so white or silver wouldn't really match in my opinion although I have given it alot of thought as to what color they will be and black fits the best in the overall look. I guess it just comes down to personal preference but I do appreciate the input and advice as always.

Nice color...how did you get the back end of your 68 to sit so high? do you have four or five leafs in each side? or single leafs? but even with air shocks it sits nice up there... :D

Right after I posted that response, I saw a picture of another Camaro that was close to that blue, with a white vinyl top, white stripe and white interior... the white was overwhelming... it looked pretty bad.

Just make sure you let us know when you have pictures of it with the black stripes, would love to see it :)

To answer 69camarofast: the car came with the multi-leaf springs factory, it doesn't have air shocks though, which for me is good. I would preferably not use them. I am really happy with the way it sits, not too high, yet not too low.

djunod: I will be sure to post the pics as I get em.
