After owning the car since 1980, I finally had to replace the steering column bearing. I started tearing down and found everything worn out. There wasn't even a bearing left in there. (Unless I just didn't recognize it.) Please can someone tell me where I can get an exploded view of the contents of a steering column? By the way, it is NOT tilt.

If you are just starting a restoration a good idea would be to purchase a Factory assembly manual. Most every parts house sells them. They usually sell a group of three books (factory assembly, Fisher body amnual, and repair manual) that are simply worth thier weight in gold with problems like this. That being said, I don't know of an online source for this info.

Here you go. Whops, this is for 69 on with locking column. Try the same link looking for other years.

This is the link to the 1967-68 Camaro standard (non-adjustable) steering column paper.
