Does anybody have a nice photo showing the inside of a '68 Camaro deck lid (trunk lid)... showing where the stickers (jack instructions & positraction warning) are placed.

Thanks!

I Can Take You One Of Mine And Email It To You. The Motion Hood Looks Great. I Have One On My Supercharged 68 That Is On This Site For Sale. I Undercoated The Bottom Side Of He Fiberglass Hood And It Looks Great That Way

JohnZ posted pics of his unrestored original a few months ago. Do a search.

Isn't that a '69...

Is '68 the same?

Sticker placement was the same for '68-'69; they used the same inner panel.

Another question on the deck lid... is the trunk latch inside the deck lid supposed to be "natural" color or painted like the deck? My buddy says "natural".

Looks like John's original deck lid is painted. I'd go with that.

Edit: I mean the hardware you're referring to is painted...

I saw that his was... that is one of the reasons why I'm asking...

It was installed in the Body Shop - it's painted.

Thanks.

Is that why the assembly manual doesn't show much for the rear body, because the rear was done at Fischer, and the front fenders etc where installed on the Chevrolet assembly line? And then painted at Chevrolet?

Yup - the body shell from the firewall back was built, painted and trimmed by Fisher Body, and the rest was done by Chevrolet; it's all explained in detail, step-by-step, right here:

One thing you may want to consider. You can buy the stickers from Rick's or anyone else for that matter which I believe peel off and then stick to the lid. I read where you can photocopy the sticker and glue the photocopy to the lid. That's how it was done back in 68, paper and glue.
