Sorry about the same old same what size tire/rim question. However, I wanted to make sure I have the right setup.

I have a 383 with a front disc conversion kit and all new stock suspension. I want to run 17" TTIIs.

Should I run 17x8s with 4" back spacing on the front and 17x8s with 5" backspacing on the back. With 235/45/17's on the front and 255/45/17's on the back.

Is this the optimal setup for no scrubbing with no fenderlip modification?

I am really at a loss. Thanks for your input, this site is great!!

Not sure but I think you will need 4 1/2 on the front. I believe the rear should be fine. I am looking at the same thing right now but i am going to use TTO wheels but same sizes.

thought 4 3/4 was the correct b/s for 17's all the way around???

On my 67, I have 17X8 with 4 3/4 bs 255/45 on the rear. Lowered 1 inch. No rubbing at all. There looks like there is plenty of room for another 1/4 inch bs too. That rear combo should be fine especially if you are not going to lower.

My front setup is 16X8 with 4 3/4 bs 245/45/16, lowered 2 inches. It barely clears the fender lip and the frame at full turn. Overall diameter of the tire is 24.6. Your tire will be 25.3. With only 4 inches of bs it might still clear the frame at full turn. I'm not sure about the fender lip though, but if you are not going to lower it you might be ok.
