Van (ChevyThunder) sent me a few pic's of a Z/28 he found in a salvage yard here in the SF bay area. I couldn't believe it didn't get scooped up by a local San Jose Yard that specializes in old GM cars. I can't believe by the pic's it was actually left in a salvage yard. Van can you elaborate on how you found this one?

Thats interesting, and the 57 chevy parked beside it too. The Z might have an automatic in it. Looks like a dipstick tube behind the engine. The smog stuff is still on it too. I love these "found" pictures.

Nope, not a real Z . No 302 emblems, it doesn’t have rear bumper guards, and only Firebirds had rubber front bumpers but I’ll give you $200 for it anyway! :D

Wow! Very suprising that someone hasn't made off with that one or more of it's parts. Seems like it could be restored with a few new pieces and lots of TLC. Any idea if the yard is unwilling to part with it? Looks like NO or NOT is written on the windshield.
Good find!

Hopefully Van will see this and post up! He ended up with it so I'm guessing money talks...

That Z was on Ebay about a week ago or so. The bidding was up to 10,500 +/- and then was ended early, and all bids cancelled.
