In order to get the P.S. pump mounting bracket to clear the #1 pipe on my Clifford header, I have to cut a large portion out of the top of the bracket. I've tried dimpling the header slightly, but I'd have to flatten the pipe over 50% to clear the bracket.
Does hacking out a large chunk of the bracket cause any structural or pulley alignment problems?
Any suggestions for some other way to make the pump fit are welcome.
