Hello:

Is there anyway to easily tell if my MC ('69 Camaro) is for manual or power brakes? I've been having some brake locking problems (see earlier post) and the booster appears to be fine. I was wondering if, by chance, the previous owner put the wrong type MC on, or perhaps converted from manual to power without changing the MC. I really don't want to remove it completely, but I thought somewhere I read that the pushrod diameter differs between the two.

Phil: I cannot help you on your problem. I am also through with the restore on my 69. It has 4 wheel drum, non-power brakes. I replaced all the shoes and put rebuild kits in every wheel. The car stops straight but the pedal effort is very great. I need to go to a power assist system. I guess you have to change the Master Cyd if you do that? Good luck on fixing your problem.

Sounds like we are all in the same boat.. All go and no Whoa... 13" Baer's are going to fix my problem :D
