I know that there were "color-coded" dipsticks (plastic ends on the rings) on engines used in 69 which coincide to the engine it was made for.

Knowing that, what color should an SS 350 engine have, if any?

I have this original engine, and the dipstick it came with has the end of the ring crimped together, instead of a color coded plastic plug.

Could this be right????

Somebody out there in Camaro land has to know something about this!!!!!

My original/unrestored '69 Z/28 has the end of the ring crimped flat; my '67 Corvettes have plastic plugs (black in small-blocks, pink in big-blocks). :thumbsup:

My 69 Z28 has a green plug, not sure about an SS350.
