I would like to replace my accelerator pedal but having trouble removing the pin that hold it on. Does anyone no some method to pull the old pin out and replace with a new pin and spring?? What would appear to be an easy task looks like a lot of trouble.

You have to "release" the spring from around the pin which holds the pedal onto the accelerator rod. There is a "long-leg" part of the spring which needs to be released from the accelerator rod. You have to lift that part of the spring away from the rod, and let it come towards the pedal which releases pressure from the spring.

With the spring pressure off, the pin can be easiliy removed. But before you do, make sure you look at how it is put together before taking it all apart.

The bad thing about this is it's all behind the pedal itself. You might be able to lift the pedal a little before you get into it to get a better look.
