Just wondering if this tag is a transplant.

Would need a better pic of the tag. From what can be seen, it seems okay. But thats not saying much with that bad of a pic.

Based on the VIN given, it should be a June car.

It would definitley be nice to have a closer picture but it looks good...but as we all know.. I am old and have bad eyes...ask for a better photo

The vin comes really close to some canadian copos on the list http://www.copo.com/L72-VIN-69-Canadian-Camaro.htm and there has been talk over on the yenko site about 661 vins http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/65769/an/0/page/0#65769 but with X66 it's probably an original ss396

Nothing special about 661 VINs. Lots of COPOs (and regular cars) built other weeks too...
