I contacted an Ebay seller about some 17" TTIIs, they recommend 17x7s on the front with 4" backspacing and 17x8s on the back with 4" backspacing. He stated this is what the vender recommended. However, multiple threads on the this forum have contradicted this.

What do you guys think?

I plan to run 235/45s on the front and 255/45s on the back. I have a drum to disc conversion on the front. Oh I have a 68 SS with new stock suspension.

17x7x4 on the front is fine, the 8" rim in the back needs 4.5 or even 4.75" of backspace. (I have 17x8, 4.5" bs wheels with 255/45/17 tires, and they COULD tuck in a lil better!)
