ok here we go again with another e-bay camaro. I would like to know since when does having a 427ci in your car make it worth $73,500. IT's a clone!

Looks like a great restoration, but whats up with the $30 traction bars. Obviously not worth $73k though. At least not to me.

Well, The seller is obviously familiar with early Camaros, the history of the "supercars", and what has been done to this car he's selling.
He said that the engine has 25k into it alone? I suppose he could, but that is the only thing I found weird about the ad... I used to think that people were insane for asking huge amounts for their restored rides, that is until I met a guy who poured 90k into a 69 coupe car!!! He will never get even 1/2 of that out of it...but then he doesn't want to sell it either. I watched much of the car get built by local professionals and every single nut and bolt is brand new, as is all of the interior etc. So now I see this "clone" up for bids with a 70k+ reserve and see things a little differently. It would probably cost more than 70k to build this car from the ground up, and to SOMEONE, it may just be worth it...Just because it's way more than I can afford doesn't mean I'm gonna make fun of it ;)

Sorry, wasn't trying to make fun of the car. Like I said it's not worth that much to me. It's a superbly built car. Please take my critisism(?) lightly. ;)

crazy..just crazy..
for all the things that are "wrong" about the car, why not just market it as a Camaro with a 35 year old Aluminum block in it? oh, yeah- it wouldn't be worth as much if the whole ZL1 history hadn't been copied out of some Camaro book or website..
i know i bash it, but if the nice folks that draw the powerball numbers would just pick the right numbers (the numbers on my ticket), it would probably be in my driveway by next weekend, and at the dragstrip the weekend after that with a set of slicks..
