Hi all- below are some details for my cars that I asked on camaros.org about supplying for their research. Ill be sending this over to them and hopefully they can use some of the info in their database. Anyway, given the vast amount of knowledge here, I wanted to pass this by all of you as well to see if anything below warrants further discussion or research in your very experienced minds. Sorry it’s a long post. You will notice some of the items Ive included may not be relevant, they were just items I noted about the cars condition. Im still missing some details..those will come later.
There are 2 specific items I would like any feedback on…under the 69RS please read the engine stamp issue and the DX1 paint detective story to see if it passes muster. My digital camera is on the fritz. Hope to get pics if needed soon. I appreciate any feedback about the cars. Thanks dave

Exterior and Engine
VIN 124379N645068
Engine 350ci (6)45068 **HELP me on the (6). I could see the 45068 was stamped crystal clear. I can just make out most of the 4 but the 6 is questionable. The stamp area by the filter is not "machined" as neatly as you see on the front pad of a small block especially toward the end wher the 6 is so that may be a cause. After an hour of craning my neck to see this by the oil filter Im not sure what I was seeing..it was late. Is it possible that Tonawanda only stamped the 4 or 5 digits or do I need to back with a stiff wire brush..help.. TO505HD (inboard side front pad)

No hood insulation
No front bumper guards
Rear bumper has 2 bumper guards extending BELOW the bumper

DX1 striping - Took a little detective work..see if this passes muster. Car is currently red - looks like your typical closed door/hood etc Macco job (no offense to anyone my first 68 was a Macco job) probably done 15 yrs ago. All jambs and underside of trunk have original burnished brown paint . Between the header valence and fender I can clearly see distinct remnants of the white striping meaning they were painted separately On the front lip of the Hood are also distinct remnants of stripes, on each side of the center ridge of the hood. No remnants found in door jamb so that should rule out hockey stripe. Would factory paint have gone into these areas Do think im correct??
Rear window defroster with wire harness
Single speaker mounted under package deck (there is only one cut out in the carboard deck)
Antenna mounted rt fender. Flexible spring type.
Rear backuplights wire thru trunk pan with grommet

Yes, I am one of the CRG members. I handle most all of the data entries for 67's, but I can also ad 68's and 69's. The 68 was not in the data bace, but the 69 is.
Thanks!
