This is my first post on this website but i've been reapin the benefits of you guys knowledge for well over half a year now. Anyway, I just replaced my old rally's with 17' boyd coddington smoothies. I was talking to a guy and he wants to buy my old rims real bad. I was wondering how much i should charge him. The guy I bought the car from said that the rims were originals but not for my car. The fronts are 15X8 and the backs are 15X9. Also, the only markings i could find on the rims were K-1-6. I also have the caps and trim rings. I couldn't find any info so i thought I'd ask the experts

I paid $325 for 4 rims,beauty rings, and caps from a car show. Everything was almost brand new looking.

the 15x8`s could be original vette wheels but the 15x9`s are deffinetly repops! if they are in real good shape and he dosnt care if there originals or not 400 bucks sounds fair just my 2 cents

Alright thanks guys. I knew none of them were original for the car and i was pretty sure that the 9's were repops but the guy i bought the car off of insisted that they were original

My girlfriends dad (the guy who wanted to buy the rims) said that if I give the rims to him, he will help me put a LT-1 and T-56 into my car. I already have the engine (95' z with an auto) but i'll need to rebuild it which will also give me time to find all the stuff i need for the manual (bellhousing, hydraulic clutch, pedals etc.). He's a big car guy so I think I'll just let him have the rims. 4 rims and a case a beer for a engine/tranny installation is a deal in my book.

I think I'd give my girlfriend's Dad a pretty good deal on rims--especially if he knows more about cars than me.

Of course, I don't have a girlfriend....and my father-in-law doesn't like cars...so I guess I'll just be quiet now.
