I just finished restoring my '69Z and was thinking about how neat it would be to contact the previous owners and send them a pic of the "new car" Do any of you know if theres any "short cuts" in finding out who the previous owners would be outside of a painstaking DMV search process??

Thanks............Ken Tolzmann, Forest Lake, Minnesota

Take a look at your POP and look them up on four11.com

The POP is the Protect-O-Plate that is attached to the warranty card inside the owners manual. Not everybody still has it... I have mine, even though there have been a ton of owners for my '68... and it is somebody with the same last name as my wife's maiden name... probably related a long way back... although Weiss is a common German name.

Here's a thread with pictures of some...

If you don't have the POP, then you will have to work your way back from who you bought it from. I did that with my Maco to track down its lineage.
