Just a simple little tip...

If you have your cowl panel off for any reason, get some screen wire and lay it down under the panel before re-mounting it. This will keeps leaves and larger particles from falling into your cowl area.

I planned on doing it before and forgot all about it... now today I had the car out in the driveway cleaning up the engine compartment... and little leaves are falling from the trees... going where? you guessed it... right into the cowl area, like a magnet.
