I need a bit of help, have a 98 camaro, V6,3.8 with 68000 miles...the problem is that the car has been running fine until recently. when i would try to start the engine it would not turn over and the accessory lights wouldnt come on, this happened twice before it decided to shut itself off, when it finally started the radio would be locked and the trip'o'dometer would reset to zero. I was at a stop sign and it completed shut off, all lights went off on the dash and then minute later the accessory lights came back on, but the radio was locked and the trip'o'dometer was reset to zero....
the plugs and wires have been replaced as well as the battery...

there is a vibration or rattling in the engine that the chevy garage says is in the motor, have done some research and might be the timing or something,not sure if that has anything to do with it...thanks...

New battery? I think the connections need to be cleaned and tightened. both ends of the cables.

Could be the anti-theft system acting up, maybe?

Dont know a lot about those cars, but have seen the anti-theft act up on them before for no apparent reason.

I wouldnt think that the engine vibration/rattling would cause it, unless its sending the comp a (check engine) code.
