I was looking for some advise on how to mount the trans. I have been told to use a TH400 crossmember with a 88-92 camaro tranny mount. I would also have to modify the stock flange on the crossmember and weld a custom fabricated flange to it. There has got to be an easier way. I was hoping that someone may know of a company who would sell a mount assembly allready to go with no modifications. I got the motor out of a 96 firebird and someone told me I could use the disc brakes,rack&pinion steering w/ column, & also the suspension and rearend. Is that true and would it involve fabrication. Putting new tech drivetrains into the older cars is what they do. They have already done the R&D, and offer conversion setups (mounts, pulleys, etc), along with wiring, if you need it.

I used a custom trans mount from Bowtie Overdrives. It bolted in easily and worked great. My exhaust was pretty tight on the passenger side with the headers so I needed a crossmember that offered enought clearance and this worked perfectly.
