HI all- some of you may have read ny earlier post a few doors down with the numbers for the CRG group to use. I still have a few unresolved issues I hope the experts can weigh in on. First what does the yellow crayon X1 I found on the bulkhead (backseat frame) signify? is the X1 related to the DX1 paint question below??
Second is paint question. the car had a red -closed door -hood -trunk paint job maybe 15 years ago with NO striping. Originally was burnished brown so all interior jambs have that paint etc. Still has white vinyl top. I was able to see between the the front fenders and upper valence panel and can clearly see the remnants of "white striping" with the burnished brown paint. I also noticed on the front edge inner lip of the hood there are " white stripes" with the brown paint on both sides of the hoods center ridge. To me it appears that ththe car had the DX1 stripping option. Would you guys agree?? I can find no evidence of white stripes in the door jamb areas pretty much ruling out the hockey stripe i guess. Since I have the POP im trying to restore back to original the best I can. Any help is appreciated. ( on a side note I have to replace the header valence panel anyway so I have the "striping evidence" sprayed with clear coat and it will hang in the garage..man Im sick...)
