I found a 67 camaro for sale that has the following option codes. . .

2LR 3L
4P

Am I correct that this car is a 4 speed 350 RS SS car??

Let me know.

I know that this is probably not the place for this, but
what would a fair price be for the car . . . I think he is asking way too much for it.

nice paint but non original engine, trans, interior rough,
engine compartment not clean
has disc brakes (duel piston non power)
non aC

this car also does NOT have the RS front end on it.

has a 10 bolt rear end

pretty much needs some serious clean up and work except the body seems to be pretty nice.
Delux interior but has some problems (a little rough)

A more or less range

Thanks
Tim

The car is an rs and could be an ss. What is the build date and where does the speedometer cable go through the firewall? Does the car have the plate in the floor under the passenger side of the back seat for the radius rod? If you could, post the entire trim tag and vin number.

With a 10 bolt, if it's original, it's most likely a L30/M20, not a SS, but we need a lot more info from the trim tag and some more visual cues from the car to tell you what it really is; for example, where does the speedometer cable go through the firewall like Rafbody asked.....

If the RS front end isn't on it, I'd be suspicious as hell right away. Can you get us some pics of the car, including a close up of the trim tag? Also, can you get us the stamped in numbers off the front of the passenger side of the rear axle (take a wire brush with you) as well as the VIN number.

And off topic....damn you have a lot of cars in your sig!!

I looked at the car for the first time yesterday. The owner wasn't home so his wife let me look at it in a dark garage with a flash light. She said the car had no engine/trans or hood when they got it and they put it together and had it painted. The husband was owed some money and the car was callateral . . . he didn't pay so they ended up with the car.

These were the only #s I pulled off it. I will have to get another look at it and get some more #s off it.

The car hasn't really been cleaned up much other than the paint. I doubt that the tags were changed. I had to scrape a bunch of crap off the tag on the firewall just to see the #s I pulled off it.

I wouldn't be suprized if the front end was changed out (maybe damaged and replaced?) since the car is 38 years old.

So the trim tag indicates an RS but not necessarily and SS? The car has an auto in it right now but has the 4 spd peddles and the bracket for the Z bar is still there on the frame.

Is the plate for the radius rod visible from under the car only? Is it pretty obvious to see?

I will try to get by there again today and take another look.
Thanks

off topic . . .

yes, lots of cars and that isn't even all of them!!! For the last 5 years I have been collecting cars for parts/resale and have a few too many!! lol

I just finished getting my final inspection on my garage (32x36 that is the biggest that would fit the space I had :( ) and I will be sorting/parting and selling a # of them out over the next year or so.

I just picked up a 70 455 olds toronado for parts and a 69 firebird shell with no rust but has the trunk cut out of it and no front clip. I just can't pass on a deal!! hahahaha

Many are in pretty good shape and those I will sell of complete once I do a few things to them to make a buck or two. This is the only way I can fund my projects I want to keep. :D

I got a bunch of cars too... but prefer a smaller signature... when the signature is longer then the message, then it gets distracting... I hate to leave one line messages now. :waving:

I have had some people email me about certain cars that they want to know something about before so I decided to keep them in the sig.

I haven't posted much lately (spent the last year building my garage . . . yes, I built it all but I didn't do the stucco or the cement work) so I have been way to busy.

I usually don't put my sig in every time I post either but it is the default when posting here and I forget to uncheck the box.

I checked out your work on the 68 motion car. Pretty cool. Looks like you have put a ton of time and money into it.

HOw many of those were built?? Do you have a link to info on them?
