Okay guys, my brain is fading and I need help.
My 69 was a 6 cyl, single exhaust car, so I have the welded support bracket on the driver side underside of the front of the trunk pan. I know that the factory dual cars don't have (and therefore don't use) this bracket, but will it interfere with the transverse muffler?
I am putting a center trunk pan in, and the front of it ends about where this bracket is. The floor and bracket are solid in this area, so the only real reason to take the bracket off is if it interferes with the dual exhaust. If it doesn't interfere, and I don't need to take it off to make the seam look better, I may just leave it alone.
I put duals on the 68, but I didn't know as much then. If this bracket was present, I don't remember it causing problems.
Thoughts?
