What should the length be on engine mount bolts used in an 69 SS350?

I know the mounts are identical between the Z and SS 350, but I want to make sure I've got the right "thru bolts".

The ones I have look too long.....

I can give you the length if you really need it, but they do look too long. I suspect it is either a safety or ease of assembly/removal deal. more than 2 inches of thread are beyond the nut when tightened.

Ditto. Even bought some "correct" ones from Ricks, still long.
