any one know witch would be better on a 468 w .250 dome pistons?? :confused: 6272292# or 3467236# oval ports cant find much info on them I have a set of 208 square ports but I thnk they are sold thanks for the info :beers:

What I found for #346236 is '75-'87 454 open 120cc chamber with 225cc I, 116cc E ports. #6272292 all I got was '70-'78 402,454 open chamber. No valve sizes for either.

-236 heads are what we call peanut port heads b/c their intake ports are about as small as a "peanut"!

They generally have ports down as small as 200 cc's or so! (About the size of a big intake ported aftermarket SB head!!).............

If the intake ports are wider than they are tall, that is what they are.

You can add bigger valves and port them out to say 235 or so cc's BUT why bother when you can get regular closed, semi-closed, open and open smogger chambered heads whose intake ports are anywhere from 235 or so all the way up to 260+ cc's!

That way you don't have to grind h-ll out of them..

the 292's have 206 valves but i dont know what the runner size i/e is or the chamber

I found the chamber size for the 292's, but no runner info. They have a 110cc chamber.

Probably something like 256 cc's???
