My Manual 5 speed is the slowest one on the road after green lights! Is this a common V6 problem, or what? Even school busses pass me!

A 2.8 V-6 just can't produce the "off the line" torque required to leave the others in the dust when the light turns green. Anyone who ordered a Camaro with that engine probably didn't have power as their main objective. They were designed for fuel efficiency, period. I have an S-10 pickup with a 4.3 V-6 that accelerates half decent, but it won't leave a V-8 at the light and I don't expect it to.
