Feb 13th, 03, 11:57 AM
I have my GIJoe space capsule with all of the stuff. My Hot wheel Carry case (the Mag Wheel). I went back to my childhood home 30 years later(in Atlanta), went into the crawl space in the back, dug down and found my old Wagon Train lunch box with Hot Wheels still in it. Very Cool.

big trax and transport (programmable tank and dump trailer, very cool, still works great)
lots of matchbox and a few hotwheels
I miss my tinker toys, lincoln logs, erector set and stretch monster (stretch armstrong looked kinda odd to me)
thank heaven I am getting live my childhood and teen years again: new star wars movies, KISS!, and now whitesnake on tour!

Being the youngest in the family I ended up having quite a few things that didn't get destoyed by younger siblings. Lots of Hot Wheels/Matchbox, hot wheels drag set (Goose and Snake - shoots and all, about 10,000 army men (including a complete Fort Apache), A set from the old TV series "Rat Patrol" that includes two guys and a jeep with a 50 cal. machine gun, a butt load of train stiff, All the Johhny West figures (Johhny, Captain Maddox, Chief Cherokee, Jay, and yes even Jane), wagons, horses, etc. Thought many times about ebaying this stuff, but how do you put a price on your childhood and just sell the stuff ? They can sell it when I'm dead.

Sad to say I don't have any of my childhood toys. When I was in junior high, my uncle's house burned. My mom thought it would be a good deed to donate all of our toys to my younger cousins. I can only remember some of the toys, there were so many. Planet of The Apes figures and fort, many GI Joe items, Geronimo 'doll', I had the (hot wheels) Mongoose & Snake drag setup also, Command Control football game (vibrating type), anyone remember Big Jim? (smaller than GIJ but if you bend his arm up, his bicep enlarged), many hot wheels and tracks, many matchbox cars, Smash up Derby cars (zip cord, panels came off when crashed). I can't even remember half of what we had when growing up.

I still have my Lionel train that I got for
Chrtistmas when I was 5. I'm 48 now.
About 5 years ago I had to get the locomotive repaired. The local train shop had it for about 3 months but when I finally got it back it ran like new.
I also still have a model of the Chrysler Turbine car that C-P dealers were giving away. My Dad was a salesmen at one in the late fities/early sixties.

Still have 3 shoe boxes FULL of un-opened sports card packs from the late 50's and 60's. (Football/Baseball/Basketball) Have been offered some good $$ for them but figured when its time to build my Log Home they will pay for most of it. Tempted to open a pack now and then but I overcome the urge and go work on 68 instead. Who knows when its time to paint it some packs might have to be sold to get the money for that.

I've got all the usual, HO slot cars, train, trading cards. How about the Cox P-51? The one held together with rubber bands. Slot car from my older brother. I think they are 1/24 scale. Got a '67 Camaro that's some turquise color. Another has a frame where the brushes are on a pivot like you're supposed to be able to do a wheelie and keep the brushes on the track. Still have a bunch of Slurpee cups with baseball players on them. Used to go everyday during the summer and get a Slurpee for 25 cents.
Ebay is great for rediscovering your childhood. Every once in a while I get on there and look for toys I had when I was a kid.
