I have a 68 vert that can't spin the tires on wet pavement. it has a mostly stock 327 assuming 210hp with holly intake and edelbrock 4 barrel, a th350 and 10 bolt with 4:11 gears( havent checked but was told when bought it) I have alot of top end but what I want is to take off with alot of smoke and noise where do I start for the most bang on a small budget.

I'll bet you have about 2.56 or 2.73 gears, and maybe 150hp at the wheels. I would check the gear ratio first.
