Can someone ID a bellhousing part number for me? I'm converting a 67 6 cylinder automatic to a big block-4 speed and picked up a bellhousing, part number 460486, for an 11 inch clutch.
Tks.

Tks. muncieman Oct 1st, 05, 06:06 AM Truck unit with the wrong size hole, 5 1/8, for the front bearing retainer. But you can use it like I've seen some people do and kill the trans. Keep looking. icedog75 Oct 1st, 05, 10:18 AM Tks. What should I be looking for...a 621 housing? This may be a foolish question but since all this stuff is mostly interchangeable across the model line can a truck front retainer be used? muncieman Oct 1st, 05, 10:28 AM Nope, different trans. You can however use the adapter ring from McLeod. They make the hole 5 1/8 in their shields and sell an adapter to make the trans fit. icedog75 Oct 1st, 05, 12:24 PM Tks for the info. I guess I'll start looking for the correct bell. |
