Hi folks, found you guys on a google search.

Was at a car show today with a buddy and we checked out a car that was advertised as a '69 DZ302. I snapped a pic of the cowl tag and looked up the websites that show how to decode them, but we are having a problem identifying the "1472"

Have any ideas?

This is a Van Nuys built car so that is the Body sequence code and really has no meaning. The code you see is "I" 472. What is the VIN of this car??

Oh, "I-472". :clonk: Ok, well, we will have to go back tomorrow and take a pic of the vin. I didn't get that today.

Your gonna need to know alot more then the VIN. It will only tell you if it's a V8 or 6cl car.
