Hi all – Not really sure where else to put this so here goes—did the camaro ever come with either factory or dealer installed stone guards (mud flaps)??? Before you laugh heres why Im asking. On the 69 RS I picked up to restore it has 4 small guards (7.5 inches by 4.5 inches wide) that screw thru the bottom 2 wheel well moulding holes. Now these don’t appear to your run of the mill jc whitmey like flaps, rather, they are made of stainless and appear well made – like they were made for the car. So what say the experts??? Thanks dave

My 69 also has the little stainless mud/stone gaurds on it. I am the original owner but I can't remember if the car came with them or the dealer added them. You know it used to be a daily driver back in the 70s and I threw away the order form and the window sticker many many years ago.

I put these on my '67 back in the mid 80's they were an aftermarket mud flap that fit the wheel well holes.

I see them on eBay now and then, they do exist, and they even come in a GM box with GM part #'s, in fact, I sold a set on eBay a couple years ago!!!! As a matter of fact, here they are right here!

I installed a set of stainless steel stone/splash guards on my mom's 67 Firebird back in 67 or 68, just after she purchased the car. I can't remember if they were a GM part or aftermarket. They are all stainless, no rubber, and still on the car(I own it now; thanks mom).

Dealer or aftermarket accessory only - never a factory option.
