which kit do you guys think would be better for a mild 350?

the NX himan system
adj. 100,150,200 wet shots with a 300 shot upgrade availible
$389.95

or

NOS Cheater system
150,180,210,250 wet shots
$479.00

both come with all the lines and a 10lbs bottle.

i havent really looked into TNT but ive heard good things.

and finally what would be a good shot to run on a mild 350? i heard between 100-200 is best

I think in the last Car Craft (this months) they did a side by side test on all the popular Nitrous systems. I will see if I can find it. You might want to check online to see if it's on there. It was a very informative test.

even if TNT did their kits are way underrated on power output

I like NX but my experience is with EFI cars

well, thats a tough range your working in really. you say mild 350, what do you consider mild? when i hear mild, i'm thinking 350-375 horse. my feeling on the matter is if your planning on keping it mild (reasonably), you should look into kits that have an upper range of 200, and start lower than 100. because once in the 200 range, though your motor is mild, you'll need a fuel system that can support much more, and at that point you might as well get more power from your motor first, imo. remember, at 375 horse, plus a 200 horse shot, you have a low 10 second car easily, thats a fast street car :D . not to mention at about 250, cam choice (wide lsa nitrous cams) become much more beneficial. not to say you wont get a get gain from it, just not as much. i guess my point is, throwing 200-250 horse at a mild motor with stuff that matches the (mild) motor, will quickly put you in the market for new pistons (the hard way), and hopefully thats all :( . in fact, what type of pistons are you running?
it really depends on what you want from the car now and in the future. for just good ol' fashioned fun with a driver, i'd look at an NOS super powershot, they range from 50-150 horse. now, if a little was good now, but you would like a bit more later, i'd go with something like a sportsman fogger, they range from 50-250, plus i would consider a fogger system purely for tunability, esp over 200 horse. sometimes plate systems can run into distribution issues, and if you aren't dead on at 250 a lean cylinder is disaster. foggers are tunable to individual cylinders, and distribution issues are much easier to take care of.
lets hear what your thoughts/plans are, and what its like currently, there are tons of kits out there, and you want to get the right one first.
hope that helps a bit

well right now its is a stock 350 with a Crane 268 cam edledbrock intake and holley carb...so stock internals with new a new cam/pushrods/lifters (hydroulic). however next year it is a requirment at my school to bring an engine to rebuild(Alfred State Auto). so at that point i plan to get new heads and internals for it and also stroke it out. I liked these systems because it has a wide range of availible shots. I figured with the majorily stock engine I could run around a 75-100 shot and when i stroke it out and get better internals I figured I could up the shots. oh and crane told me this would be a great cam for nitrous/supercharging.

camaroman7d I have that issue and it was very helpful but I wanted some more opinions.

My NX Hitman kit works quite well. 12.50's to 11.80's spraying a 100 shot at the 60ft mark with only 650psi bottle pressure (NX recommends 1000psi) and extra conservative timing. I believe NX also carries a lifetime warrenty on their solenoids. Very nice kit for the price.

I am for nitrous express as well! i have there Gemini Twin and was very impressed with it.

A bunch of people think its cheating anyway. (Till they have a stout motor or get a kit) Maybe cause most only know it as NOOOSSSS and they make the cheater, thats were it got the bad rep

haha yea i get so many different opinions at my school (I got to alfred for auto)

my favorite was...its for sport compacts who cant make enough power off there motor... yet nitrous was around before sport compacts were. idk some people are just too old school, idk maybe its cause im young and know all the new products or cause its just my generation.

I would say to definatly buy an adjustable kit. It will work with your current combo and the upgraded version too. As far as kits go there's not a real big power difference ( except the wilson, which is very expensive) so i'd just but the least expensive adjustable. The hitman is a nice kit. Just in case you don't already know the "recommended" limit on a dual plane is 175 shot. I have sprayed 200 to my performer RPM a few times and have had no problems, but i won't go any higher than that.

My 350 is very tame ( actually lame) it makes 360 fwhp and the car runs mid 12's on motor, but a 100 shot takes it to low 11's and the 200 shot to low 10's. I do all this under 6000 RPM and with 3.07 gears.
