We have an 88 Camaro and you have to wrestle with the hindges to get it to lift up. The shocks support the hood just fine but you have to wiggle one side at a time to get it to finally go up. Is there anything you can do to make the hood work great again?

You only need to post your question in one of the forums... Body Shop may be your best bet.

break out the spray can of white lithium grease and lube the pivot points up and work it up and down until it pivots nice and smooth. while you've got the stuff out, hit the door and hatch hinges, as well as all the latches for the doors, decklid, and hood.
if you don't have any white grease, i guess you could use WD-40 or even some 10w-40.
