Does any one know if a 20" inch rim with low pro, z rated racing tires will fit on a 67' camaro with no modifactions. I want to put on front and back. I would be greatful for any insight.

Dubs, lol. While I like larger wheels (like 18's :D ), I also think 20's may be extreme, but to each his own.

Anyways, yes, with the right width and backspacing, they will fit.

I bought 17" x 8" Pony-car, "Bullitts" from Summit b/c to me they are the prettiest retro wheel there is but I had Mosers redrill everything to the Ford bolt pattern and at the same time I went with 1/2" studs!!

I am afraid that when you go over a 17" rim, that the tire sidewall gets so short that it can't absorb the impact of pot-holes well enough to keep from breaking the rim of the wheel unless it is steel!!

Think about this for a bit..

PS., and I am running 225/45 fronts and 255/45 rears of which the rears are way too small. I figure a real 17" slick on a roundy-round 17" cheap steel wheel if I get serious! BUT then again, I bet I start breaking stuff..

putting anything over 16's or 17's on a musclecar just ruins classic look of them..

There was a post here a while back with two 1st Gen's, one with 18's and one with 20's I think it was.

Maybe I'm too old (38 soon) and just don't get the Gen Y crowd ?

Carl C. did a tire test for Camaro Performers awhile back - maybe he can post that picture for you with 18s on the front and 20s on the rear. 20s on the front seam alittle too big even if you're into that look. 18s on the front and 20s in the rear are the most common choise. A few people have gone with 19s/20s and there is a real nice '69 black with red interior that is running around with 19s and 22s - was a Street Machine of the Year finalist at Goodguy's Columbus. That's extreme to say the least and is not really pratical for a driver. Most people think these cars look the best with no bigger than 18s - but that's a matter of persol choise. 18x8 with 4.75 backspace and a 235/40-18 tire will work in the front and a 20x8.5 with 5.25 back space with a 245/40-20 or a 255/35-20 tire will work in the rear. Let's see, Right at $608 for (4) Bullitt wheel's from Summit.

$104/each and $110/each for my 225's and 255-17's HTZ's from The Tire Rack plus $8.00/each shipping.

Walmart charged $11/each to mount and balance.

So just my rolling stock is right at $1,112!

But then I need to add in Mosers redrilling, but half of that was just my "pdqCBB" deal where I had my big rotors, hub's and axle's redrilled and tapped plus bought the needed 1/2" wheel stud-bolts too..
