The car is being auctioned off next week at an undisclosed location(I'll buy if reasonable) What do you guys think it's worth?? I know it's hard to say with a couple of pics. The car is d/b p/s 10 bolt monoleaf. 12A car`with no X code except for the one pictured under where the back seat was at. It's X1. I called and got the yard guy to pull the carpet up to verify.
How about some input good or bad.

THE most common X code was the X11. X11 means it "could" be a lot of things, but not that it "is" anything. X1 on the bulkhead, or X11 on the cowl tag make no real difference in the value.
Monoleaf 10 bolt suggests plane Jane.
As for value...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Figure what it will cost you to replace all the missing stuff, and then double it. Subtract that number from $ 25,000, the value of a restored Plain Jane. That's the high side of the current value, in my opinion.

On some of the 69 cars behind the back seat they marked the "X" code with a marker. I believe mostly on the November- early December 68 cars. If anyone can post the pics I'll e-mail some to whoever.

Most of us are aware of X codes behind seats on certain cars, but I think Unreal (and others I'm certain), just wasn't sure and probably still aren't sure, what that had to do with carpet. Thanks for clarifying anyway :)

If you are looking to bid on it...know that the back tail emblem, which says Z/28 is not currect with a X-11 code...on the Tag. ...it is a nice looking car...Chris.. :D

Update!!! Believe it or not the car brought 13,700 !!!! plus sale fees puts it right at 14K??? Plus the buyer was from Ontario how much to get it from Wichita to ON ?? Rest assured they think they've got a Z/28.
