Has anyone used the Keisler PerfectFit Tremec TKO 5 Speed for 67 Camaro? If so, was it easly to install?

Very easy,, and even more so if you use the crossmember that they may offer.. Just make sure you have a strong arm or good floor jack . Hev Ho.

Tony -

You may want to check out www.classicchevy5speed.com . I got my TKO and install kit from Forte, and then later found CC5S. Jeff, Scott, and Jim are great to deal with, and their kit is nicer than the others. Jeff and Jim (GMJim) are regulars on this board. Do a search in the transmission forum for "TKO 600", and you'll see GMJim's experiences with both the Keisler and CC5S kits. I've gotten some bits and pieces (and more than my share of free advice) from CC5S, and just can't say enough good things about them.

I second the Classic Chevy 5 speed kit. I've read horror stories about Kiesler installs. Jeff and his crew are top notch.

I used there complete 5 speed in my 67 its been the best purches I have made. I have a 3.08 rear granny gear and a 350 290 h.p. v-8 that gets 21 mph on the highway because of it. I have 15,000. miles on it without any problems at all. The install is nice because the floor does not have to be cut open it fits right in. I would make sure the body bushings are excelent because it is a tight fit in the tunnel. If you have a councel you will have to offset it a lil to get 5th gear to not hit the shifter. You will love the rpms on the highway. Definetly get the whole kit with the crossmember speedo cable nesesary bolts drive shaft. I didnt have to go to the parts store once. You will need to change the preasure plate and disk to the new spline.

I just installed a TKO 600 purchased from Classic Chevy 5-speed and am very happy. Customer service was excellent. I was on the phone to Jeff, Jim and Scott several times with questions on my install and they were very helpful. Highly recommended.

I was considering a TKO, but they didn't return my email so I'll go somewhere else.
