Under hard acceleration I have a low frequency about 1/sec @3000 rpm shuttering coming from somewhere in the rear. Normal driving is fine. I suspect it may be related to excessive axle endplay with my '79 Seville rear disck brakes. or related somehow to spring wrap, but cannot figure out how. Any thoughts?

Don't suppose your pinion angle get too severe for a moment under acceleration?

I tHink that might be it. I will make some shimms and give it a try.

Well, I compared my pinion angle to my other car and it seemed off, So I shimmed it to match, and it did not correct the problem. I thought this was on the right track because 1st gear driveshaft speed is likely at the frequency of the vibration.
