1989 CAMARO RS 305 THINK ITS JUST F/I BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE CARB BUT HAS TO INJECTORS.
Tring To Help Out My Neighbor Who Has Been At This Car For A Week As Far As I Know. Just Replaced Plugs, wires, cap And Rotor. No Idea What Was Done Prior. Car Starts For A Split Second Then Dies. Any Suggestions? I'm Not To Knowledgable With Chevy.
Could It Be The Ignition Module Or Coil?

You're having fuel related issues if it starts for a second then dies.

Do you see fuel spray from the injectors?

Yeah, I Can See The Jets Spraying While The Engine Is Being Started.
This Morning We Were Tring To Start It But It Did The Same. When I Kept The Thorttle Open And Kept Moving It Back And Forth Quickly It Ran Like **** But I Had To Do That And When It Died We Had A Fire Ball Come From Under The Injectors. Could Timing Have Jumped. It Has About 125,000 Miles. Somebody Suggested The Ignition Module Was Bad But We Pulled It And Took It To The Autoparts Store And Buddy There Said That It Was Fine. He Tested The Resistance.

Attach a timing light to #1 cylinder and see where the timing mark on the harmonic balancer is at compared to the timing tab on the chain cover.

If it is greatly retarded, more than 10*, then remove a spark plug and take a compression reading. If its below 100 PSI, timing chain has stretched and jumped a couple teeth.
