View Full Version : Prices are high but not this high!!! DROPTOPtimes2 Oct 11th, 05, 12:03 PM http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4580417250 clwilcox33 Oct 11th, 05, 12:06 PM Wow, 30k for a plain jane 68. I seriously doubt he gets any bids on that at all. ZZ430DropTop67RS Oct 11th, 05, 12:09 PM Such a nice job with the plug wires too.................. DROPTOPtimes2 Oct 11th, 05, 12:23 PM Top ten reasons that this car is worth $30,000: 1. This car is so rare, it is one of one!!! (as are just about all camaros) 2. The thorough description and detailed history of the car 3. Pictures of the interior 4. The high feedback of 5 (none as a seller) shows that he is a reliable seller. 5. Engine compartment has been professionally detailed 6. Rare 'mini' air cleaner option 7. Boyd Coddington rims 8. The 'pearl' paint 9. Pain-in-the-a$$ wiring harness 10. Brand new extra long spark plug wires and, I almost forgot, LEATHER SEATS!!! Dayton68Z28 Oct 11th, 05, 12:25 PM Buy it now for $30,000? I don't think so. Gary L Oct 11th, 05, 01:14 PM Hey, it can't hurt to ask! Dayton68Z28 Oct 11th, 05, 03:18 PM It would take at least 2 hours with a rubber hammer to straighten out that front license plate. CFunK Oct 11th, 05, 06:10 PM It would take at least 2 hours with a rubber hammer to straighten out that front license plate. And a case of JD for someone to place a bid. thorpe67RS Oct 11th, 05, 06:53 PM Man, thats pretty bad. Brackneyc Oct 11th, 05, 09:51 PM That nice gap on the passenger side of the hood/fender will surely help keep the motor cool though. I know it is nit-picky, but I wonder why some people do not take the time to get the gaps at least even, if not correct. I see a lot of this, even on show cars. It is common for Camaros to be off on the body gaps, or is it a matter of splitting the difference and making the best of a bad situation. In other words, are the parts so crooked that they cannot be adjusted to look like they actually fit, or does one adjustment usually send another adjustment way out of alignment. My car is apart, but my main goal upon re-assembly is to make the body gaps look like they were a little more than an afterthought. Am I in for a big surprise? tmannet Oct 12th, 05, 07:42 AM I live in Wisconsin, I should go look at this car just for fun. I just sold my '68, which had a califronia body, almost completely updated, new 383 stroker new muncie 4 speed, for $16K!!! Either I'm crazy or this seller is crazy. The more I look at the pics of it, it's just an ugly car, I hate to say that about any camaro but it's homely...I think my highest bid would be around 8K. thorpe67RS Oct 12th, 05, 01:18 PM I live in Wisconsin, I should go look at this car just for fun. The guy who bought the car seems very responsible, so I think it went to a good home, which is important to me even though it's just a car! SS5449 Oct 12th, 05, 01:28 PM That color of paint, in the shade of tree branches, and generally poor pictures, make it hard to really see how straight that car is. Would also be nice to see the leather interior, and CD player. Rut kennys Oct 12th, 05, 02:44 PM ok just think if it sells how much more our cars are worth. Dayton68Z28 Oct 12th, 05, 04:06 PM No bids. DROPTOPtimes2 Oct 19th, 05, 03:06 PM It's back at a reduced price. It's still too high but we'll see if he gets any bids. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4583595144 |
