Is there anyone here who belongs to a club or range that does competitive shooting? I belonged to a club a few years ago and got into this type of shooting. I really liked the steel matches the best so I set up a small range just off my driveway. Living in the country allows me to shoot when ever I want too.

Yup. Neighbors here would get kinda upset if I'd practice. Of course the cops would have fun as long as they wouldn't get busted for all the extra rds they would expend shooting targets after plugging me.

Have belonged to a range for the past 3 or 4 years. Use to average a 100 rounds a week with my pistols. Now most of my time is spent working on the camaro. Still get out to shoot about once a month, but can tell the difference in my accuracy. Two things I plan to never be without: the Camaro and my 1911. :D

Yep. Both pistol and long gun. (1911 and Steyr SSG)

There is a great range here in Vegas. It has roughly 10 ranges with about 10 to 15 lanes each. The pistol, SMG and shotgun ranges are about 50 meters and the longest rifle is just over 1000. I mainly spend most of my time at the 35-50 (IPSC) for the pistol and shotgun, and the 1000 for the bolt guns. I dont get to do too much silhouette shooting with the pistols...... .45 ACP tends to tear them up.

Most of the time the neighbors wont complain.....but then again you can shoot right of the highway outside city limits around here. Moving to the outskirts would allow 'on property' shooting though.....that would be nice.

BTW, whats everyone have in their collection?

Bushmaster 20" target heavy bbl .223 (stock)
Savage 22-250 mod 111 with a Simmons Classic 4-12X44 (stock)
Remington model 700ML 50 cal with a Bushnell Banner 3X9 (stock)

Glock Mod 21C with a KKM matchgrade stainless bbl, reduced trigger pull/disconnect
Glock Mod 17 (stock pre-ban)
Glock Mod 27 (stock)
Springfield mod 1911 A1 tricked out with Wilson Combat goodies!

The model 21C is the one I shoot the most. I reload for all the above but do most of my reloading for the .45ACP. I keep my presses ready to reload all the time so if I am not working on the cars I can just slip out to my garage and reload a few. Nothing like making your own ammo. I have perfected my 22-250 reloads. My Savage stock out of the box is consistant at 310 yrds everytime with 55 grain solid points.

Tool of the trade, Glock model 19, 9mm. Three 15 round mags. I shoot (training) four times a year. I hit my target more often than I miss (weak hand exersise), thats why I carry 3 mags. I keep them pinned down until the good shooters get there. I sold all my other weapons and put the money in my Camaro. tongue.gif

Not too much in the collection. Mostly 9MM from Glock, S&W, Sig, and my favorite S/A 1911 in .45ACP. Have 2 Marlin 30/30 and 1 Winchester 30/30. :D

I target shoot with my brother every Tuesday for years now. I was asked to join up with a local Tactical Shooting team this past summer. Would have if it weren't for a couple of guys that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. In this case, one bad apple is all it takes.

- Beretta 9mm 92FS
- Glock Model 27 40S&W
- SIG 2340 Pro 40S&W
- Kimber Compact 45ACP Stainless Steel/Aluminum with Wilson Combat Rosewood grips
- Les Baer Thunder Ranch 45ACP
- Walther PPK-S Stainless Steel 38ACP
- Pending: Walther PPK (Reconditioned)

I hate my Glock. Can't hit nuttin' In fact, the safest place would be right in front of me. :D
