I am trying to find a bracket that will work with my TV cable on a vortec intake. The intake is a weiand and the carburetor is an Edelbrock. I have a factory looking TV cable. I picked up a bracket from the local autparts store, but it was way too far away from the linkage. Any ideas? Thanks.

The problem with that solution is that I only need the plate that goes on under the carb...I have everything else.

I use this one with anticipation of switching over to a throttle cable. For now it works fine with throttle linkage and TV cable.

I believe half the bad press about overdrive's "not taking it" is from mis-adjusted TV cables. The TV made EZ is a complete system with all the geometry figured out. Cable length, and position of the bracket in relation to the throttle linkage are critical. If you have just collected parts and are just looking for a universal bracket, you are setting yourself up for disaster. If you have done the math and know the angles you could have one made.

My transmission has some type of hydraulic modification...apparently the TV cable isn't that critical on it. The transmission guy that rebuilt it is an expert that is quite often consulted by GM and Ford. He told me the cable adjustment isn't that important on the trannys he builds...But the only bracket I can find that will work with the Edelbrock carb is like 80 dollars.

Rojo...does that work well with your Edelbrock carb? Do you have the GM type cable? Thanks.

GM type cable with a Holley. Sorry, you did say Edelbrock but it flew right over my head. Not sure if you could mod it or not. Never have heard of a 700r4 that the cable wasn't important.

Yeah, its a first for me too, but several people I know are running them and they just bolted the bracket on hooked the cable up and have been driving ever since...with no problems.
