Here is a nice 67 car on Ebay:

They claim it only has about 30k miles on it.. they even show a pic of the guage cluster. but wait.. isn't that a cluster from a 68??? smile.gif
Maybe the dealer dosent know either..
A 67 cluster looks like this:

See the cluster in this 68..

I noticed a few more things that weren’t correct either, but it’s still a nice looking car.

I looked at a Vette(can't remember what year it was)for sale many years ago at a car lot here in town.It was advertised as 22K original miles, guy wanted a fortune for it.I looked underneath and the speedo cable was swinging in the breeze, detached from the tranny.Sure...22K original!

..and it has a (gasp) modern Interstate battery in it, and -OH MY GOD I'M GONNA FAINT- a long water pump setup. definitely NOT original..
if you assume thespeedo in ANY 35 year old classic is still the original one, then you are in for a lot of surprises- i'd bet 90% of the old cars out there have had different speedos put in for one reason or another- this guy maybe just liked the 68 setup better.
looks like a nice car that probably started life with a 6 cylinder or something and stuff got upgraded.. the perfect classic car- one you can actually drive and modify without fear of "wrecking" the value it by putting the "wrong" parts on it. but i'd hate to be the owner of it at a car show or something listening to all the know-it-alls tearing my car apart verbally because it isn't "correct".

I didn't "tear" anything apart.. just noted that on selling point they are touting is that its only 33k miles.. and thats obviously not true.
Other than that the car is pretty nice.. i sure wouldnt kick it out of my garage BUT they should not bill it as a 33k miles car if they dont know for sure.

A lot about the car is not correct. You should ask for the trim plate info and serial numbers. It doesn't say "matching numbers". Caveat emptor! It's still a fine looking 67 that I wouldn't be ashamed to own. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

But the ad DOES say:
"Everything was done correctly and to original specifications when it was restored....no bull, no misleading information about this or any car we have."
to me this is far from the truth!

This WAS NOT about the rest of the car.. jeeze..
