I Just Read Alot Of Advice In To To Replace A Electric Fuel Pump On A 86 Camaro And On One Of Those I Saw That One Of The Persons Had Cut A Hole On Top Of The Sheet Metal On Top Of The Fuel Tank
And That He Cut The Lines To Get The Unit Out ,well I Allready Cut The Sheet Metal And One Of Those Hoses Is A High Presure Hose I Know They Sell Those On All The Auto Parts Stores ,is There Anything I Should Be Worried About Before Oi Do All The Cutting Thanks

I've known people to cut holes in the trunk. IMHO, that shortcut doesn't really buy you much except keeping you from under the vehicle. Best bet is to transfer the fuel and drop the tank. If for no other reason, you'll be able to inspect the lines and wiring in the process. I wouldn't cut a pressure line, but then again, I'm not sure what your setup is like. The fuel pressure in the line runs about 40psi. If you don't get it sealed up proper it will make a hellova mess in a hurry - not to mention the risk of burning your ride to the ground.
