Mine push in and turn. You may need to trim.

I myself just picked up 2 of those from Ricks and they don't fit worth a damn.
I had to bend the little metal tabs out to fit so the plug clips into the socket, and they still don't fit snug like the originals.

I also have replacement sockets. They don't fit worth a damn, wish I'd kept the originals. 3m trim adhesive does a pretty good job keeping them off the trunk floor, but I still find one there every once ina while.

Any chance that you may still have the model # of the ones from Advance? The sockets on the '68 are in quite bad shape and I could never find replacements that would fit right.

Its to bad these reproduction companies ,cant get it right.
We could talk all day on what items don,t fit or don,t match.
My Favorite story ,is the guy who bought repop quarter-panels for his 69 Camaro SS Convertible. The body man called the owner up and said they wern,t long enough. ( 1 1/2 inches short on the drivers side. The repop co. would not refund or take them back. shipping was out of sight. So the owner asked the body man, if there was any solution.
The bodyman, who was an pro expert cut the quarter in half, top to bottom, and scabed in a piece of metal to make up the inch and one half. I have a friend with a 69 Z who had to cut the wheel well moldings in half to fit ,and sacb a piece in on the top. I can,t believe they can,t get the tail lite housings right to make the sockets work. No more repop for me.
