Does anyone know the torque spec for the front of a J bolt on the Lakewood-style slapper bars?
The last time I used a slapper bar was 1976 and I've slept since then. I seem to recall something around 15-20ft. lbs but I just can't remember. I looked thru Lakewood's website but I can't find the spec there. I bought these in '71 and used them till '76, but I don't have the instruction sheet anymore.
I've been carrying them around the country for all these years and finally am going to get to use them.
Any input would be appreciated.
