Just starting to prep my disassembled body parts and was wondereing what should the underside of the valance, fender extensions, etc be painted? I am going BC/CC. Should these panels get the same paint as the outside?

I prime my bare metal with black epoxy primer and just prime the backside while im at it. After its painted you can just leave it or undercoat.

I just one step past Chris , I prime with PD and then shoot a couple of coats of single stage black just for a little added protection .

I used a single stage in body color on all those, looks nice (but not original, of course)

On the mostly original paint car I'm building now, they were black on the backside, with body color overspray around the edges.

Black it is I quess. I'll go with a single stage. I would think that this black is not a high gloss? Same as under the hood??
