I want to put the american torque thruster II's on my 69 Z. Can anyone give me feedback on what will fit based on actual experience. Will probally go with 16" or 17 " and wide as possible on rear without rubbing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Here's mine with 17's on it. 17 x 8 ont he front and 17 x 9.5 on the rear. I have 255's on the rear and you can see there is plenty of room for a 275.

Looks great. What was the backspacing on front and rear and what width tire?

The front has 4.75 inches of backspacing and the tire is a 225 45 17, the rear has 5.5 inches of backspacing and the tire is a 255 45 17.

Looks nice on your car.
What brand is it on those tires, what can you recommend?

I am a big fan of the Nitto 555's they are a very sticky street radial. I have a friend who has they and he has very good luck

(well as much as can be expected with out a slick) hooking his 600hp stang on the street. Please don't confuse the 555 radials with the 555r drag radials. I will be purchaising a set with my TTII's...

Looks great on both ChevyThunder and Black 69:s cars with 17".
You are both using 17"x 8 in the front with 4.75 backspace, but if you want same size on the rims Rear, what backspace fits best then?
Anyone know that?

I'm in the process of restification on my '69 SS right now. I have the Detroit Speed mini tub kit for the rear. I'm considering going with 17x8 front and 17x11 rear. Is this going to work and what backspacing would I need? Also, what tire sizes would you recommend? I'd like the tire sidewall heighth to be even on both wheels front to back.
