Hey guy's,
My heater core is just starting to leak and I want to wait until spring before replacing it. (The car will be stored for the winter.) How should I bypass this unit just so I can squeeze a few more weeks before the snow falls.
I've also heard that this could add 10 -20 degrees to the engine temp?

Just plug the intake and pump.

You won't have any issues with the temp rising. I plugged mine two years ago and have never had an issue driving mine in the HotLanta summers on a daily basis.

That works, or if you don't have any plugs handy just loop one of the heater hoses from the water pump fitting to the intake manifold fitting.

my heater core was starting to leak and I just took one hose off and looped the other between the water pump and intake took about 7 minutes. I also looped the other one back around to keep as much of a seal as possible in the core and so that I wouldnt lose the hose.

Thanks for the info guy's, I have all winter to change it and weather is changing mighty quick here so I wanted to take the car out a few times and not have that sweet stinking smell come out of the vents.
