I have a 1969 Camaro riding on monoleafs with 10 bolt rear/ssb front & rear disc brakes. My Torq -Thrusts are 15 X 8 with 3 3/4 bs. Rear tires are BF Goodrich P255/60 R15. I am using air shocks to stay off the inside lip of my wheel wells. I want to eliminate the air shocks(Big mistake installing them). How much back space can I handle with the above setup to stay off the inside of wheel wells? Looks like I need to move the rear tires in about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Will 15 X 8 with 4 1/2" back space fit around brakes & shocks????

I have a 69 with monoleafs. The 10 bolt is from a Nova. The rear brakes are Wilwood. Not the exact same setup as yours. I am using American Racing Torque Thrust II's, 15x8 with 4.75 backspacing. 275/60/15 tires. No problem with the inner or outer fender. The inside of the wheel is VERY close to the caliper. I would need a micrometer to measure the clearance between the caliper and the wheel weights on the inside of the wheel.

Thanks Bill. I have ordered TT II's with 4 1/2" bs to be safe. American Racing says there should be no problem. We will soon see. What monoleaf are you using??? I plan on replacing mine with CalTracs 2 piece mono's and use their taction bar set up. Any experience with this set up. CalTrac people say this should give about another inch of cleareance so I can get rid of the air shocks.

4 1/2 back spacing centers the 255/60 R15 perfect. No rub and no air in the shocks. I now have 2 Torque Thrust II 15x8 with 3 3/4 back space for to sell if anyone needs two. Great condition.
